Success Thought of the Day – 2/21/22
Widely known for his seminal work, The Souls of Black Folk, in 1903, W.E.B. Du Bois was the first Black American to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard University and was a founding member of the NAACP. He served as the NAACP’s director of publicity and research, launched its official journal, The Crisis, in 1910, and led the NAACP to become known as the leading protest organization for Black Americans.
I am thankful for people such as Du Bois, who serve as models for transcending conventional thinking, communicating with courage, and organizing for sustained change.
