On the latest episode of The Corelink Solution with James Rosseau Sr. (Trig), listeners were treated to an inspiring and deeply spiritual conversation with Angela Jollivette, award-winning music supervisor, producer, and founder of Moonbaby Media. Known for her creative contributions to major projects like Greenleaf, Sunday’s Best, Rhythm + Flow, and VH1’s Black Ink Crew, Jollivette has built a career bridging faith, culture, and storytelling through sound. But in this discussion, she revealed something far greater than her impressive résumé — a journey of surrender, obedience, and divine purpose.
Finding Stillness in a Fast-Moving World
After a decade at the Recording Academy, Jollivette experienced what she calls a divine interruption, a season where God told her to “be still and know.” Initially resistant, she later recognized it as a necessary period of spiritual refinement. “I was trying to accomplish things my way,” she told Trig, “but He made it clear He’d already figured it out for me.” That revelation shifted her approach to work, faith, and life. No longer striving, she began surrendering, allowing God’s roadmap to guide her rather than her own ambitions.
Trig connected deeply with her reflections, sharing how even on vacation, God reminded him of the beauty in simplicity. Both agreed that modern life often pressures people to chase achievements, but peace comes from aligning with God’s pace rather than the world’s.
A Calling Beyond the Grammys
Jollivette’s exit from the Recording Academy was more than a career move, it was a divine assignment. When her work with Greenleaf led to conflict-of-interest concerns, she recognized God’s timing. “It was my exit,” she recalled. “Job well done. Onto the next chapter.” That next chapter included producing soundtracks that earned NAACP and Stellar Awards and launching Faith in Sync, a platform designed to highlight faith-based music in film and television.
Bridging the Sacred and the Secular
Through Faith in Sync, Jollivette is creating space for Christian and inspirational artists in mainstream media. She envisions the platform as a “vessel to bridge the gap between secular and non-secular culture,” allowing faith-based stories and sounds to reach new audiences. “God wants us all to use our gifts to glorify Him,” she said, emphasizing that collaboration between genres strengthens the culture rather than divides it.
Faith Is the Culture
Her latest brand, Faith Is the Culture, was born from a divine moment. “God said, ‘Forget all that. I’m the culture.’” With that, she launched a movement to remind artists and audiences that faith fuels creativity, community, and culture itself.
Trig closed the conversation with gratitude, commending Jollivette for her obedience and courage to follow God’s lead in an industry that often rewards compromise. “When you step away from the world’s platform to build God’s,” he said, “that’s faith in action.”
For artists, creators, and believers alike, Jollivette’s story is a reminder that walking in purpose means letting go of control, and trusting the One who already wrote the plan.
