Success Thought of the Day – 1/12/21

An empowered life begins with serious personal questions about oneself. Those answers bare the seeds of success. Steve Maraboli

Finding or resurfacing your purpose requires internal work.  This is about some alone time; I dare say, “non-digital time.”  Ideally, you want to begin to create a view that lets you see what gets you fired up, alongside your gifts and talents and how they overlap and complement each other.

An exercise like this often starts with an inquiry and is not an exact science.  If you’re interested, here are some questions that will get you going on the first part.

When you were a child (let’s say 12 or so) …

  • What was it that you wanted to do with your life?
  • What did you KNOW in your heart that you would do?
  • What got you into ‘the zone,’ that place where you no longer pay attention to time..where you literally wouldn’t go to the bathroom until the very last minute.

Fast forward to today …

  • You just won an untold fortune of millions.  After you paid off all of your debt, made the contributions you wanted to, helped everyone you wanted to, traveled, and checked off your leisure “kick the bucket list,” what would you do to be productive if money wasn’t an obstacle?

Create a journal for yourself and write all of this down.  This is great information to build on!
