Success Thought of the Day – 1/13/21

As a leader, the most fundamental opportunity you have is to be the facilitator of talent. – James Rosseau, Sr.

I don’t believe anyone will ever say leadership is easy, it takes work.  However, there are three things you can do as you facilitate talent that will make a meaningful difference:

  1. People: Treat people like people, not human assets.  Acknowledge that they have gifts and talents to fulfill a purpose and work towards helping them shine.
  2. Purpose: Ensure the organizational purpose is crystallized in writing and how the organization feels.
  3. Process: Ensure three major processes are demystified so everyone understands them.  The business model (how you make money), the operating model ( how you get things done), and the governance model (how you make decisions).

There is much that can be said about each of those of course, but if you stay focused on those three, you will see the payoff.
