Life is also too long to live it compromised.

Several years ago, when I made a job change, several colleagues asked me why I was doing so as it was a lateral move with no promotion or salary increase.  Trust me, I was not thrilled about it being lateral either.

However, what I saw was the opportunity to develop a set of skills that I needed in order to achieve one of my career goals.  The move met and exceeded my expectations.

If you are in love with the seat you are in today, well done!  However, if you have the itch to do more, get started!  Find ways to grow.  It does not have to be all at once as it played it in the story I shared.  The opportunities to learn are virtually unlimited given all of the online videos, classes, etc.
