Success Thought of the Day – 8/24/18: Taking Chances

Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish. - Ovid

We know that without a doubt, we lose 100% of the opportunities we do not go for.  Perhaps better stated by hockey player Wayne Gretzky, “you miss 100% of the shots you do not take.”  So, we must take chances.

What holds us back from taking chances?

The risk of loss perhaps?  That could certainly be one.  As we consider taking a chance on…ourselves, our passion, our vision, our goals, could there be a risk?  Absolutely!  However, consider that the bigger risk is the opportunity loss of not taking the chance and closing the deal on your passion, vision or goal and long-term cumulative effect of that for years to come.

Where do you go from here?

The quote says it, “let your hook be always cast: in the pool where you least expect it.”  Give consideration to consistently casting your hook and where you are casting it.

Have a great day!
James
