Success Thought of the Day – 8/27/20

Be intentional about your surroundings. – James Rosseau, Sr.

Your environment can impact your energy level and outcomes.   We can’t always control our environment, but we should take advantage of it when we can.  Most of us spend a lot of time at our work desk.  Remove distractions, only keep visible what you are working on at that moment, and place items on your desk that inspire you or have utility.

I have attached a picture of mine as an example.   On the far left, a sign says, “Dreams Don’t work unless you do,” my podcast set up, and my Bose speaker (must have music during the day).  On the right, a time cube allows me to timebox tasks, impromptu meetings, etc., to keep things focused and then two spindles I use for fun to keep my hands occupied at times (yes, I am one of those people).

I encourage you to give the approach a shot!
