Your Career Collage: Success Thought of the Day – 11/12/18

Careers are often non-linear and in fact tend to be a tapestry of sorts. – James Rosseau, Sr.

Rarely does a career go in a straight line, exactly as planned.  In my experience (and that of many I have worked with), It is a road filled with unexpected twists and turns.  Those twists and turns are what add paint to your collage.  In other words, visualize your career as a canvas for painting.  Imagine if it only had one color on it.  The twists and turns provide more color, making it more interesting, fulfilled and preparing you for greater opportunities ahead.

Within my book, I talk about the collage within Promise #4 – Parlay your Platform.  Here is a link to an excerpt around that promise and the collage that you might find useful.  https://thecorelinksolution.com/promise-4-parlay-your-platform/

Additionally, I think Matt Winter is one of the best illustrations of a non-linear career.  You can listen to the interview with him on The Corelink Solution Podcast here https://thecorelinksolution.com/mattwinter
