This scripture beautifully encapsulates the idea of personal growth and rejuvenation. Next, we moved on to the topic of art. While the art world is vast and diverse, I focused on a specific example to illustrate how change and high performance can be fostered. I mentioned a song released by Ja Cash and Chille Baby called “Who Dat?” and how they created a challenge around it. This example underscores the importance of encouraging and recognizing artists. It not only builds confidence but also reinforces community participation and inspires people during tough times.
Education: The Key to Personal Growth
The third aspect of FAVE is education. I discussed its significance in personal growth and shared some concerning data on K-12 education during the pandemic, specifically the rise in student absences. I expressed my concern about the habit of being absent from school that may have formed during the pandemic.
Reflecting on my childhood, I remembered how my mother didn’t let me form habits of staying home when I didn’t feel like going to school. She emphasized the importance of pushing through and doing things we don’t feel like doing, as it helps us grow and learn. I also mentioned an article that discusses how the pandemic has made children more comfortable and inclined to stay home. However, it’s crucial to restore the habit of going to school even when it’s not convenient.
Creating a Positive and Energized Environment
I also shared a personal story about starting a new job and noticing the difference in the environment compared to the places I had interviewed. I emphasized the importance of creating a positive and energized environment for teams. I shared how I made changes to the physical space and implemented a daily success thought to improve collaboration and performance.
